Maternity Style Guide
■ During your session we will change from a white backdrop to a black one and if the weather permits we will even venture outside to make a third setting.
■ The most important thing is to choose clothing that you feel comfortable in, as well as beautiful too!
■ Solid colours work the best as patterns can make your shape look distorted in front of the camera.
■ If you are happy to bare your bump then consider your partners collared shirt or something that can be rolled up over it, like a t-shirt or vest.
■ A floor or knee length maxi dress combined with chunky necklace is incredibly flattering as they focus on your beautiful baby bump while assisting and smoothing out areas you may deem troublesome.
■ Sometimes a simple skinny belt can accentuate your bump. It will define your waistline and enhance any flowy or fitted shirt or dress.
■ For more inspiration head to Pinterest which has a wealth of ideas.
■ If your partner or children are joining you for your shoot then avoid being too matching with them. If you are all wearing the same colour then it may be distracting and you will not stand out. Look at colour pallets and see which compliment you the best (below).
■ If you’re struggling then I am more than happy to advise.
