Family photography sessions are always lots of fun, capturing your children as they are – natural, spontaneous and totally in the moment. More importantly they’ll provide you with a lifetime of happy memories that you will cherish for years to come.
I have a very relaxed style and will let things unfold naturally with unscripted moments. However, for nervous parents I am happy to give as much gentle direction as needed! I will also suggest activities to keep kids engaged and capture natural expressions!
Generally during a session I’ll take a variety of group family photos, parent and child portraits and individual photos of the child/children.
Location Sessions - These can be shot anyway you like, at home, a local park or landmark, maybe a special spot in the beautiful countryside or by the river? Scheduling them either early in the morning or late in the afternoon helps get the light soft, pretty and golden. I’ll keep a close eye on the weather as our family photo shoot approaches and will suggest a back update in case of bad weather.
Studio Sessions – Take the hassle out of visiting a photography studio by allowing me to come to you instead. You don’t have to have a huge showhome style house. With a small selection of equipment I can ensure beautiful lit pictures that look professional. We can use either a plain coloured background or the natural interiors to set the scene for each image. The advantage of this type of session is that you and your children are in your own environment and are much more relaxed and at ease.
(n.b. if you prefer to do this in a studio environment, this too can be arranged).
Everyone is welcome – grandparents, aunts, uncles, no holds barred!
The cost for a Family photography experience is £50 and is payable at the time of your booking or on the day of the shoot.
Kids grow up so fast, so don’t delay – please contact me to arrange your family photography session.
