The aim is to create photographs for you to treasure forever. My style is relaxed, gentle and fun. The aim is very much focused on capturing the unconditional love, friendship and connection you share.
Your end results will be timeless art that portrays the unspoken bond between a horse and rider! Upon arrival at the yard, we will scout together for some suitable locations to shoot in. Generally I start off at the stable or yard, but we can shoot at any alternative destination of your choice.
Wear what you feel comfortable in (although if you have a dark coloured horse it's bst to stay away from dark clothing).
To help with variety I encourage clients to bring along three outfits to change into.
Casual (Trousers/jodhpurs and boots with your favourite jumper/jacket. Accessories like scarves and hats work well too!),
Smart (maybe a lovely jacket teamed with a blouse or shirt, fitted trousers/jodhpurs and smart long boots),
and Glamorous (one of your favourite dresses, a lovely light floaty one for the summer or a heavier ball gown during the colder months or perhaps you’d like that opportunity to put on your wedding dress again).
Needless to say, your horse should be beautifully groomed – a clean shining coat, main and tail combed out. Get your horse ready as if it was going to a show. Make sure all your tack is clean and if possible a level head collar and matching plane lead rope works great.
Yard Special – This group offer is perfect for yards with multiple horses in one location. Everyone gets a discounted session fee (up to 50% off), so why not get your friends involved and make a day of it? Selling your horse or need stud card photos? Stand out from the crowd with professional looking headshots, body shots, ridden or action shots, suitable to use for advertising your horse for sale or stud.
Our gift vouchers make a fabulous gift for all horse lovers and are great for any occasion.
The aim of the Pet Photo Experience is to capture your pet’s unique character in a comfortable and fun environment creating a lasting memory of your furry companion.
I firmly believe in treating dogs with kindness and respect – this makes them easier to photograph and thereby creates better shots. An unhappy dog makes for an unhappy image.
I offer two types of experiences to choose from, the Location or the Studio, both sessions usually take place at the weekend (but weekdays are available too).
A Studio session requires setting up a small studio within your home, somewhere familiar and safe for the dog. I aim to catch portraits that showcase your much trusted family member in a slightly different view. It’s about capturing their inner self, the inner dog that only you usually get to see. This is not about forcing poses on your dog, it is about allowing them to relax and be photographed.
A Location session can take place almost anywhere – as long as all concerned are in a safe environment. Previously I have taken photos at customers’ homes, on a walk, in the woods or a field, even by the river. The most important thing is that your pet is comfortable in the environment.
If there is anything that truly defines your dog please let me know and I will try to capture this. And if you or your children want to be in the photos then please let me know during the booking.
Both Horse and Hound shoots comes with either a complimentary edited digital image (with printing rights), or a £25 product credit. This is priced at only £49, payable at the time of your booking or on the day of the shoot.
